holding space
Do you admit that
we do not see the whole.
But only what feels real
may only feel familiar.
Emotion speaks aloud,
but it is not always accurate.
Intuition whispers,
yet memory often interrupts.
Therefore, any pause matters.
To step back
when understanding feels rushed,
and we ask:
Is this the moment
or the past
asking to be replayed?
But sometimes not.
Lines need to be drawn,
speak the truth,
boundaries set.
We cannot control
what others see outside us.
We can only tend
to our own ground.
The truth we hold
is not to override another’s,
but to refuse letting old stories
rule the present.
Sometimes the wisest act
is not to correct perception,
but to loosen our grip on our attitude.
And we stand,
rooted in what is ours to know.
Truth asks for humility.
